Dr. Allen graduated from The Colony High School, Baylor University & Baylor College of Dentistry. He has been married to his wife, Brittany, since July 2002 and together they enjoy raising their two children—Brynn and Bridger. They moved to Athens in 2005 and have enjoyed becoming active members of the community. Besides spending time with the family, Dr. Allen enjoys golfing, fishing, biking, traveling and music.
Dr. Allen believes in the importance of continuing education and modern technology. Dentistry is constantly changing with new techniques and materials that allow dentists to restore teeth like never before.
In 2012 Dr. Allen recieve his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry by completing 500 hour of continuing education, passing the exam and attending several dental conventions.

Dr. Melissa Nix-Edge graduated from University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio Dental School. She has practiced general dentistry in Sulphur Springs and most recently a pedicatric dental practice in Longview She shares the same practice philosophy as Dr. Allen; excellent clinical dentistry and patient comfort.
Dr. Nix-Edge married her husband, Brad, in May of 2010. They are expecting their first child in February of 2013. Dr. Nix-Edge enojoys reading, traveling and is an avid sports fan.
In pursuit of a fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr.Nix-Edge has completed many hours of continuing education from many of the nation’s leading dental educators.

Practice info:
Allen Family Dentistry was founded in July 2005 when Dr. Allen assumed Dr. Richard Campbell’s practice. After less than five years, Dr. Allen relocated & renamed the practice to better serve his patients. In Decemeber of 2011 Dr. Allen welcomed Dr Melissa Nix-Edge to his practive to allow for patients to be treated in a more effective and timely manner. With modern, comprehensive dentistry being the focus, Dr. Allen constantly updates the practice with the latest technologies. Crestway Park Dental strives to provide the highest quality of dentistry in a comfortable environment. The greatest asset of the practice is the friendly, caring staff. The objective is to make every dental appointment a pleasant one.
